Facial
Analysis

We analyse the face for surgeons and their patients. We find the landmarks and the proportions, show which surgery the findings point to and why, and display the patient so surgeon and patient see the same thing.

01 · Landmarks and midlines

The face and the skeleton, measured.

Landmarks on the face and on the skeleton, the soft-tissue midline and the skeletal midline, each measured on its own.

02 · Airway

The airway, in the same scan.

The airway is segmented from the same CT, with its narrowest section, so a jaw movement can be judged with it.

The surgery, and why

  • Le Fort I, upper jaw 7 mm forward: the bite is corrected from the upper jaw as well, rather than setting the lower jaw far back, which narrows the airway.
  • BSSO: the lower jaw follows into the new bite.
  • Cheek onlays: midface contour.

The surgeon decides; the analysis shows the findings and the options for discussion.
