Soft-Tissue
Simulation

Integrated soft tissue simulation helps estimate the postoperative facial outcome before surgery is performed.

01 · Implants and face, one view

Where the implants are, the face changes.

The patient-specific implants on the bone, and the predicted change of the skin over them, from the same view, on the skin from the patient's own CT.

Colour = how far the skin moves out, 0 to 3 mm.

02 · Onlays

Onlays reshape the bone. The skin follows.

Bone, skin and the planned onlays come from the patient's own CT. A physics model lets the soft tissue settle over the new contour.

Onlay augmentation - predicted soft-tissue response

Estimation of likely postoperative soft-tissue contour, with documented modelling limitations. Not a guaranteed visual outcome.
